Law Reform
Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation November 2018 BGCLS (then known as Central Highlands Community Legal Centre) completed a detailed submission against the proposal to add new electronic gaming machines to the Ballarat Golf Club. Our experience tells us that pokie machines, and gambling addictions more broadly, can lead to increased incidences of family violence and legal problems related to credit and debt. Our submission below explains our objections to any increase in Ballarat.
