Inviting Expressions of Interest
Striving for an informed community with access to justice, Ballarat and Grampians Community Legal Service (BGCLS) delivers high quality professional legal services, education, support, and advocacy to the communities of the Ballarat and Grampians region.

We assist and support clients dealing with individual legal matters including family, family violence, civil and criminal, as well as working more broadly with our partners in capacity building and law and policy reform projects to address community need.
Our Board seeks to strengthen its skill base by recruiting 2 Board Directors (Voluntary) who can bring their specialist expertise as a lawyer or community services manager to the BGCLS Board as it fulfills its strategic direction-setting, oversight, and governance responsibilities.
To enhance our capacity to deliver on our purpose BGCLS is seeking to structure a diverse board of committed individuals, with a range of thinking styles, qualifications, skills, and life experiences.
We welcome expressions of interest from people of all genders, ages, First Nation peoples, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and from lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, gender diverse and intersex people

If you wish to explore further, please call Paul Ryan, Board Chair, on 0407 416 010
We welcome Expressions of Interest until 5pm on Thursday, 13 March 2025
