Ballarat & Grampians Community Legal Service (BGCLS) is a registered charity providing free legal services in Central Highlands, Grampians and Wimmera regions. We have offices in Ballarat and Horsham. We provide outreach services to Ararat, Stawell, St Arnaud and Daylesford. We support individuals and families in 11 LGAs from Bacchus Marsh through to the South Australian border. BGCLS welcomes applications from people of all genders, ages, First Nation peoples, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and from lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, gender diverse and intersex people. Engagement & Referral Practitioner Ballarat & Grampians Community Legal Service is seeking an experienced social worker, counsellor or allied health professional to join our team in Horsham as an Engagement & Referral Practitioner. The Engagement and Referral Practitioner will provide active engagement and referral support to vulnerable families seeking help for their interrelated legal, health and family issues, including those experiencing or at risk of family violence. Working within the context of a health justice partnership (HJP), the Engagement and Referral Practitioner will work collaboratively with our legal team and our partner services providers to best support clients.
We are looking for someone with more than the skills and experience to get the job done. We are looking for someone who is also passionate about social justice and impacting the lives of others through the important work we do as a for-purpose organisation.

Volunteer Solicitors Volunteers are integral to the establishment and maintenance of our service delivery model, which is fundamentally different to the services available elsewhere in the private legal system. Volunteer Solicitors must have a current practising certificate.
Our volunteer clinics operate Wednesday evenings and Friday afternoons. Volunteers are rostered according to their availability and the areas of law they can advise in.
