Family Violence Lawyer-Horsham
Ballarat & Grampians Community Legal Service (BGCLS) is offering a rewarding opportunity for a part-time (22.8 hours per week) Family Violence Lawyer to provide services in Horsham.
As a Family Violence Lawyer you will provide high quality advice, casework, community legal education and court representation to clients in the Horsham region and Family Violence Intervention Order Duty Lawyer Service at Horsham Magistrates' Court.
This role will work collaboratively with a range of key stakeholders including court staff, police prosecutors, Victoria Legal Aid Duty Lawyers and support services. Occasional travel between Ballarat & Horsham will be required.

Position Description 

Receptionist-Ballarat
Ballarat & Grampians Community Legal Service is seeking a Receptionist who can demonstrate a commitment to social justice principles and work within a Human Rights framework. This is a full- time role.
The successful candidate must be empathetic and willing to work with vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst still maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Date entry and communication are key elements to this role
Experience working in a legal setting such as a Community Legal Centre, Victoria Legal Aid or Private Legal Sector would be an advantage but not essential.
Generous Salary Packaging options are available as well as bonus annual leave between Christmas and New Year.

Volunteers


​Volunteers are integral to the establishment and maintenance of our service delivery model, which is fundamentally different to the services available elsewhere in the private legal system. Volunteer Solicitors must have a current practising certificate.
